- 4.9 out of every 100 adults in Utah has diabetes, ranking UT 49th lowest in the nation for the ratio of people with diabetes to the general population.
- 31.6 out of every adult 100,000 deaths in Utah are due to diabetes, ranking Utah 8th highest in the nation for diabetes-related deaths.
- In 2005, 87,000 Utah adults were diagnosed with diabetes and by 2007 6% of the total adult population had been diagnosed with diabetes.
