- 4.7 out of every 100 adults in Alaska has diabetes, ranking AK 50th, the second lowest (compared against 50 states and Washington, D.C.) in the nation for the ratio of people with diabetes in the general population.
- 21.9 out of every adult 100,000 deaths in Alaska are due to diabetes, ranking AK 40th lowest in the U.S. for the number of diabetes-related deaths.
- In 2005, 20,000 adults  in Alaska were diagnosed with diabetes and by 2007, 6% of the total adult population had been diagnosed with diabetes.
