Pre-diabetes and Other Medical Tests

 

Definitions

50/50 Insulin: (Fifty-Fifty) Premixed insulin that is 50 percent intermediate-acting (NPH) insulin and 50 percent short-acting (regular) insulin.

 

How is pre-diabetes diagnosed?

A simple blood test that can often be done in your doctor's office can tell you whether or not you have pre-diabetes. If you are over age 40 ask your doctor to screen you for pre-diabetes.
